You do not need to register any personal details to access the site, but should you wish to use the Contact form or make an On-Line Horse or Livestock entry for this year’s show, your personal information will be dealt with as described below. Kington Horse Show & Agricultural Society is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you will be stored and processed by us when applying for membership, booking a trade stand, entering to compete on show day or any other contact you may have with the Society. We will need to store some personal details and may need to share your data with relevant bodies when processing an application from you. For instance, if there is a breed society requirement for a class your details may need to be verified by them.

What information do we collect?
We will collect and store any personal data that you provide when completing application forms (paper or on-line) issued for membership, booking a trade stand or entering a competition on show day. The personal data collected will be restricted to the minimum required to deal with your request. This will typically include name, contact details and any specific data relating to your application.
The retention of data will only occur if necessary and where we have a legitimate reason for doing so.
What do we use personal information for?
The main reason we hold personal information is to contact you about the following:
- Your membership (to post members badges, inform you of events and meetings etc.)
- Trade stands (updates relating to the show and entry tickets)
- Competition entries (updates relating to the show and entry tickets)
We may share your information where necessary to enable us to process payments for membership and on-line entry fees and your consent to this will be a necessary part of the application process.
In addition, in the case of competition entries we may need to verify the information you provide with outside organisations.
No other personal details will be sold or shared about you as an individual outside of the Society.
Security
We are committed to ensuring your information is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information. In addition, where you have allowed us to share your personal details (eg membership Direct Debit information), we will ensure the recipients have an appropriate GDPR policy in place.
Controlling your personal information
We will only hold your personal information for as long as it is necessary.
You have the right to request details of the personal information we hold about you under the current Data Protection Act. In addition, you have the right to request that we amend or remove any of your details.
