Latest Show Information - published 4th June 2020

It is with great regret that due to the coronavirus pandemic the Kington Show committee has taken the decision to cancel the 2020 show which would have been held Saturday 12th September.

We monitored the situation during the last few months and have now reached the point where financially and practically the risks are too high.

The committee agree that the risk of continuing with show preparation is too high due to the likelihood that some form of social distancing and controls on mass gatherings will still exist in September. We also need to ensure the safety of everyone involved from Farmers, Traders, Exhibitors, Volunteers, Visitors and Committee Members.

We will instead work on developing the show to ensure we have a great show next year on the 11th September 2021 and we look forward to seeing you all there.

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support of the show and hope everyone stays safe and well.

Kington Show is one of the largest one-day agricultural shows in the country and will be held again this year on the second Saturday in September.

With its roots firmly embedded in farming, the show brings together the local community and provides a setting for all to enjoy a fantastic day out.

Along with horse and riding competitions, the show has managed to blend the traditional agricultural feel of livestock and horticultural competitions with the lively entertainment on offer for the whole family in and around the main ring. We have YFC, Shearing and Dog competitions all day as well as a wonderful display of Vintage vehicles.

We also expect to have over 100 outdoor trade stands, a busy Food & Craft marquee and a wide variety of catering options including a licensed public bar.

Find out more about this year’s show and put the date in your diary – come and join us for a day to remember!
